The 2022 project “Certification system of football education organizations” organized by LFF finished this week. This initiative is aimed at helping the organizations of our nation to accurately assess the quality of their work, to set essential guidelines for the improvement of their activities and, in cooperation with LFF, to achieve the highest quality criteria of their activities.
The project was prepared based on successful practices and examples of organizations in other countries. Thanks to them, the most important criteria were determined, according to which football educational institutions will be able to organize their activities and strive for improvement. The audit of football institutions was divided into 4 parts – management, infrastructure, sports personnel and sports activities.
At the end of the audit of educational institutions, the FA “Šiauliai” organization, which is indifferent to football, received excellent news – it and two others were rated 4 stars by the Lithuanian Football Academy.
Having received such recognition, the Academy of the City of the Sun will also receive additional annual income, which will allow it to further foster consistent and regular work in the education of children. The latter will be provided with annual support in the amount of about 30 thousand. euros.
“I am happy that the activities of our organization were evaluated in this way. We became just one of three Lithuanian football academies to receive such an assessment. I would like to emphasize that this is an assessment of the entire staff and employees of our organization, which we have been striving for throughout the years of the organization’s existence. Naturally, this did not happen in one or two years, but thanks to patient and consistent work connecting our entire community. This time did not pass and here we were rewarded.
As for the process itself, we managed to combine all the stages of training young football players into one whole. This is from the very first life page opened by the academy on the Lithuanian football map to the men’s team competing in the highest football division of the country. All the stages presented a lot of challenges for both the children and the coaches who educate them, but we managed to steer them in the right direction and here we see the result. I think that the efforts made in developing the promising youth of our city, at the moment, allow us to have not one or two football players defending the honor of the city of the sun in the Optibet A League and defending the honor of Lithuania in various international level competitions. Well, obtaining this certificate only further obliges you to continue to strive for quality improvement in your daily work. We will strive for the further development of both the trainers of our institution and the entire staff. We will also try to pay more attention to the development of individual excellence. There are considerable challenges in maintaining this high bar, but I believe that we are capable of maintaining it,” said the technical director of FA Šiauliai, Daevis Kanchelskis.
