Just like last week – a day earlier, after some of the players played a lot of minutes in the double match of the 18th round of the Optibet First League in Mazeikiai, the next day the youngsters had nothing to do they had to compete less for a team of boys of their own age. On the field, the majority of the match was a close fight – the teams exchanged dangerous attacks both to one side and to the other side, but the latter could not achieve their results. However, in the 68th minute of the match, the referee on the field assigned 11 a one-meter penalty to the goal of the Kaunas team, but the Šiauliai team failed to realize it when Juoz Radavičius’ shot was saved by the opponent’s goalkeeper. The result for the Šiauliat team was 2 :3 had to admit nti the advantage of Kaunas and to settle for the first point won in the Samsung Galaxy Watch EJL division.

Fourteen-year-olds from our academy also won the first points. The confrontation between the students of Donatas Strockis and Vilias Lapeikis and the guests from the capital city marked the dramatic end of the 2nd round, which strained the nerves of more than one fan who came to the Gytarii artificial surface stadium. During all the matches, both football players went hand in hand and created a number of chances at the opponents’ goal, but luck was still lacking to successfully fulfill them. However, already in the 67th minute of the meeting, Kipras Šakinskas had his say, whose accurate shot allowed the people of Šiauliai to take the lead, but already in the last seconds of the referee’s added time, the people of Vilnius managed to equalize the result and moved the fight for points to a penalty shootout. Success was already on the side of the Šiauliai team, and the latter beat the Vilnius team with a score of 5:3 and added 2 very important points to their score.

In the second half, the people from Šiauliai managed to preserve the minimal advantage gained in the first half of the match and after the final signal of Tad Šimkaus, recorded their first victory in the new division of the Lithuanian Youth League.
